Wellness is a holistic venture. At Sopris, we believe everyone deserves to feel their best, naturally.
Springtime is here, and our bodies feel the change! Here are a few ways to incorporate wellness into your spring routine, so you can feel your very best.
Lemon Water and Gratitude
Upon waking, replace scrolling on your phone with a gratitude journal and a glass of lemon water. This helps push out impurities in your skin and body and has antioxidants from vitamin C which helps boost collagen.
This little ritual will brighten your morning, your soul, and your skin!
Meditate and Exfoliate
Out with the old, in with the new!
Exfoliating is a great skincare practice in spring. It can help shed those dead skin cells from winter and help increase new cell turnover. This process offers a ‘glowing look’ to the skin as well as many other benefits.
Turn on your favorite meditation app and dry brush your body before jumping into the shower to wash away what no longer serves you.
Nourish and Celebrate
It's important to celebrate the small things in life and to have something to look forward to. Escape in a cup of tea, a future getaway, or even 5 minutes alone in the shower with your favorite playlist (our Botanicals Playlist on Spotify?)
After exfoliating and cleansing, lather your favorite lotion or oil to help nourish your skin. If you find your skin is drier than usual, offer it extra healing nutrients by using body butter, or our luxurious massage oil.
Vitamin D and SPF
Do you ever feel like you are a solar panel and your energy comes from the sun?
The winter blues can take a toll on us. Soaking up that vitamin D can help you feel like your reservoir is full of energy. Make sure to protect your skin with SPF, hats and long sleeves when catching those rays.
Stay Ahead of Allergies
Have you been waking up with puffy eyes?
Spring is the season for those allergy flare-ups which can cause redness and inflammation making under-eye bags and fine lines look even more pronounced.
Stay ahead of the game with what works for you on caring for your allergies. Whether you use an over-the-counter non-sedating antihistamine or natural remedies, putting eye cream on before bed can help reduce some of that inflammation.
Exercise and Self-love
Exercise is the ultimate self-love and one of the best forms of anti-aging. Getting your heart rate up will improve blood circulation which will help deliver oxygen and nutrients to the skin.
When you exercise regularly this will promote collagen production and provide a healthy-looking glow. It never hurts to be kind to yourself as you build strength. Getting a massage post-workout can help flush out waste products as well as stimulate the body's healing process.
